Google Nose beta. Sent-sational!

Google have rolled out a new search method. ‘Nose’ is currently in beta and is the first by any search engine company to make use of another human sense. smell.

Google Nose can work on any device, smartphone or computer. All you have to do is open the nose, move your nose towards the screen (or touch the screen with your nose) and the smell you are searching for will be found. My cat did a poop poo on my bed, so I hovered over it with my SGS2, and within seconds found the smell of fear. Poor cat knew it was in trouble.

Google also introduced Gmail Blue today.

Genius!

My SGS2 Smartphone is on EBAY.

I have just placed my SGS2 Smartphone into auction on EBAY, and hopefully a new owner will be found in the next seven days.

EBAY Auction of SGS2

This was my first Android Smartphone, although  my Nokia N900 gave me my first experience of Android and eventually made me switch from Maemo to Android. It is an excellent phone and has served me well.

My next phone will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, but in order to buy it outright, I need to sell my SGS2 and pay in the difference.

I guess this will also be the end of my website www.mysgs2.com unless someone out there is willing to take over the site.

Sony MDR-1RBT Wireless Stereo Headphones.

I have been searching for months for a decent pair of Bluetooth headphones to pair up with my SGS2. The search has been long and hard as there are very few good brands to be found that offer the right kind of wireless headphone. Every brand has its pros and cons.

My Nokia BH-905 wireless Bluetooth headphones have surprisingly lasted me 4 years, well it is no surprise as they are very well made, but were never made to be dropped a hundred times onto the floor. One of the cons of an “on ear” headphone opposed to an “around the ear” headphone. At present they are taped up with Sellotape. Then out of the blue I stumbled upon these SONY MDR-1RBT Wireless Stereo Headphones.

HMDX Jam Bluetooth wireless speaker.

I got one of the coolest Bluetooth gadgets today for my SGS2. It is a wireless speaker. Small enough to pack in a bag, light enough to carry anywhere, perfect for any room big or small. I tested it out in my bathroom while I was in the shower, my phone was connected to the speaker from my bedroom. Like all Bluetooth devices it has a 10m range and it worked perfectly even through a closed door.

It comes with a charge cable, micro-usb on one end, normal USB on the other end. It also has a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable for connecting with wire. There are three buttons on the speaker. A play/pause button, volume up and volume down, two sets of lights, one for charging (red) and the other for Bluetooth connectivity and it comes in a nice jar with a lid.

Best of all it cost only £39.99. :-)
